ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza has accepted nomination papers of all the three candidates vying for presidential election.
Dr. Arif Alvi, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan are the main candidates for presidential elections to be held on Tuesday next.
Later, talking to newsmen, PTI candidate Dr. Arif Alvi expressed the confidence that he would be elected with thumping majority.
To a question, he said people have given clear mandate to PTI and Imran Khan in the general election.
PPP nominee Aitzaz Ahsan said so far there was no consensus among opposition parties on fielding a joint candidate.
