Islamabad : (Parliament Times) OGDCL held a ceremonial gathering in connection with Independence Day at OGDCL Head Office Islamabad. The Ceremony was attended by Mr. Zahid Mir, Managing Director OGDCL, senior officials and a large number of employees.
Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director felicitated the employees for celebrating the country’s 71st Independence Day and asked them to remember the sacrifices of our elders which made it possible for us to celebrate the occasion. He said that OGDCL is the largest exploration and production company of the country and holds a key position in country’s economy and is playing a vital role in meeting the energy demands of the country. He said that by achieving our targets we shall be able to enhance oil and gas production considerably. He said that if each employee in his individual capacity fulfills his responsibility in a proper way the country will be able to quickly march on the road to prosperity.
On this occasion the retired servicemen performing security duties at the head office performed Azadi March and presented a salutation. On this auspicious occasion of Independence Day celebrations, the OGDCL building was decorated with beautiful flags and lights. Special prayers were offered for the welfare and development of the country as well as OGDCL.
