Lahore: Government of Pakistan has freed 27 Indian fishermen from jails under the gesture of good will on the occasion of 71th Independence Day and handed over them to India through Wahga Border.
As per media reports, 27 fishermen freed from Karachi jails were dispatched to Lahore through passenger train from Karachi.
These fishermen were later sent to Wahga Border through special buses where the rangers of Punjab-Sutlej handed over the Indian fishermen to Indian Border security forces.
These Indian fishermen were also given gifts under the gesture of good will while Indian fishermen said while thanking the government of Pakistan before crossing the boundary that jail authorities behaved very well with them during their imprisonment in Karachi jail.
