Lahore: The act of making an amendment in Finance Act and collection of extra sales tax from wedding halls has been challenged in the Lahore high court (LHC).
Rao Tariq Islam through his counsel A K Dogar Advocate has challenged the amendment in finance act and collection of extra sales tax from wedding halls in the Lahore High Court.
Finance Ministry, Federal Government and others have been made respondents in the petition.
The petitioner took the plea that making an amendment in the finance Act is runs contrary to the law and the constitution under which extra tax is being received from common citizens.
Petitioner further pleaded that due to this amendment marriage hall business is feared to crash therefore court should set aside the amendment in finance act .
