CDA asked to focus on better development of E-11 Sector


Islamabad: A delegation of Traders Welfare Association, led by its President Awais Sheikh visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry while held a meeting with Sheikh Amir Waheed President, Muhammad Naved Malik Senior Vice President and Nisar Mirza Vice President ICCI to discuss the issues being faced by the traders their market.
Addressing the delegation, Sheikh Amir Waheed, said that E-11 Sector was one of the new sectors of CDA but was facing many problems due to lack of development. He stressed upon the CDA to focus on better development of this sector to facilitate the growth of business activities.
He said that due to lack of parking in the area, traders and clients were facing problems in parking their vehicles and emphasized that CDA should develop parking facilities in E-11 markets. He assured the delegation members that ICCI would extend full cooperation in resolving the key issues of E-11 Sector traders.
Muhammad Naveed Malik Senior Vice President ICCI said that due to CDA’s operation against non-conforming use, many businesses have shifted to E-11 Sector but due to lack of development works, they were facing problems. They urged that CDA should start developmental works in E-11 that would help in better growth of business activities.
Speaking at the occasion, Awais Sheikh, President, Traders Welfare Association, E-11, said that encroachments were on the rise in E-11 Sector due to which traders were facing difficulties.
He said CDA should address this issue to provide relief to the traders. He said CDA should provide public toilets in the market and improve sewerage system.
He emphasized that IESCO should install more transformers for uninterrupted power supply in the market. He reiterated that TWA E-11 would cooperate with ICCI in its endeavors aimed at resolving the issues of business community.
