Petition seeking stopping notification of Rana Sana success as MNA transferred to other judge

LAHORE: Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi of Lahore High Court (LHC) has referred the petition seeking stoppage of notification of success of Rana Sana Ullah as MNA to Justice Mamoon Rashid with a note that he is already hearing such type of petitions.

His rival candidate Dr Nisar Ahmad has filed petition against Rana Sana Ullah newly elected MNA from NA-106 Faisalabad.

The petitioner has taken plea that Rana Sana Ullah had uttered such remarks for those who attended reception of Mian Nawaz Sharif which are feared to trample the sanctity of Islam.

He has prayed the court to disqualify Rana Sana Ullah besides stopping the issuance of notification of his success.
