LONDON: British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt has said continuity of democracy in Pakistan is a good omen.
In a statement issued here he said we congratulate millions of Pakistanis who cast their votes in the general election in Pakistan.
“We have reservations over the reports related to pressure on media and contesting election by the parties affiliated with proscribed groups. However it is a good omen that Pakistan has not accepted them.
Appreciating the steps taken by Election Commission of Pakistan during the election he said it is now responsibility of elected representatives to work for transfer of power.
