Karachi: Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) has accepted the bail plea of three more co-accused in Naqeeb Ullah murder case.
As per media reports, the hearing of Naqeeb Ullah murder case was held in ATC of Karachi on Saturday.
Court has accepted the bail plea of accused Sub-inspector Muhammad Yaseen, ASI Supurd Hussain and Head Constable Khizar Hayat against the surety bonds worth Rs 2 lac each while the order in connection with bail plea of suspended SP Qamar will be issued on next hearing.
The further hearing will be held on 18th August.
Rao Anwar said while talking to media outside ATC Karachi that police officers were implicated in Naqeeb Ullah murder case without any reason.
??Some people wanted to have the desired statements from these police officers and when they did not get the statement, they made a case upon them without any reason??, he added.
While responding to a question about absconding police officers, Anwar replied that these officers have small children, so when injustice is done this way , they will definitely flee.
It is to be mentioned that the killing of 4 terrorists was claimed in alleged police encounter by the then SSP of Malir Rao Anwar in district Malir Karachi on 13th January 2018; however it was acknowledged that the killed persons were not terrorists but the innocent citizens of different areas who were subjected to extra judicial killings.
One person among the dead in the encounter was identified as Naqeeb Ullah. Supreme Court took the suo motto notice on the protest of Civil Society and social media users.
Rao Anwar hid himself from the view after the suo motto notice was taken by SC and tried to flee from Islamabad Airport to Dubai but his plan was thwarted .
He appeared in SC after some time where he was arrested.
