PTI favorite to win all three seats of Federal Capital


Islamabad(Daily P.Times): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would likely to get all three seats of Federal Capital Islamabad as party popularity graph was much higher than others parties like PML-N, PPP and MMA in all three constituencies of Capital.
In a latest survey conducted by “Online” revealed that PTI top leaders including Imran Khan and Asad Umar were contesting election from federal Capital and popularity graph of both the leaders were much higher than other candidates like MMA Mian Muhammad Aslam, PML-N Anjum Aqeel Khan, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Dr. Tariq Fazal Ch.
Candidates including PTI Asad Umar, MMA Mian Muhammad Aslam, PML-N Anjum Aqeel Khan, PPP Raja Imran Ashraf and an independent candidate Hafizul Rehman Tipu were contesting election from NA-54. It revealed that 51% area people including women were supporting PTI.
However, the popularity graph of PML-N candidate was even less then independent candidate Hafizul Rehman.
Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI)’s candidate Asad Umar has taken an advantage of the ongoing unrest among Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s members. Suffering from this turbulence is Anjum Akeel Khan and other PML-N members of PML-N, potential candidates for NA-54.
It was stated that these candidates were facing certain difficulties in drawing attention of the voters towards them, highlighting the ongoing disputes within the party as the main reason.
On the other hand from Chattar to Aabpara, both urban and rural area of NA-53 constituency of Islamabad, two political stalwarts Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Imran Khan are in a close contest as compared to rest of the contenders for July 25 polls.
Moreover, most believed that PTI Chairman has little edge over Shahid Khaqan Abbasi because of his personality.
It revealed in survey that Ashraf advocate inclusion in PTI has further boosted the popularity of PTI. The PTI’s political campaign with the help of three members of the party Ilyas Mehrban, Amir Kiani and Zulfi Bukhari have provided great edge in the constituency.
PPP’s Sibtl-ul- Haider Bukhari Shah, brother of Nayar Bukhari has run campaign in the area. Bukhari with his brother held corner meetings in both rural and urban areas of the constituency.
Islamabad’s NA-52 constituency consists of the capital’s rural belt towards the south-east of the district. It starts from Chak Shehzad and goes all the way to Sihala Sihala and from Rawat on to the GT Road.
The constituency has a total of population of 700,744. But only 34 per cent of the area’s population, or around 234,508 people, are registered as voters. Over half of these, or 125,183 are men while 109,325 are women. There are 11 candidates in the running for this constituency but the major contestants include Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Raja Khurram Nawaz. Others include Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Raja Afzal Khokhar.
Currently the popularity of PML-N candidate Dr. Tariq Fazal Ch was higher from other candidates in this constituency. However, PTI candidate Raja Khurram Nawaz could turn the table with the support of urban areas inhabitants on the Election Day. PPP Candiate Afzal Khokar could also get large number of votes from this constituency
