Nawaz meets legal team in Adiala jail

Rawalpindi: Deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday met his five members legal team at Adiala Jail Rawalpindi.
The legal team, headed by Khawaja Haris, consulted Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law captain (retd) Safdar over appeal against accountability court decision in the Islamabad High Court and hearings pending in the Islamabad High Court and other legal matters.
Meanwhile, the son-in-law of the convicted prime minister reportedly fell ill at the central jail and paramedical staff was called to assess his condition.
Captain (retd) Safdar fell ill during a meeting with his legal team, sources said. Doctors from the District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi were called to check on Safdar who recommended some precautions but didn’t refer his shift to the hospital.
Later, talking to media Maryam Nawaz lawyer Amjad Pervez said that Nawaz believes that the facilities which should have been provided to him are not. Maryam Nawaz and her husband Captain (retd) Safdar had already refused facilities. He said Safdar is a hear patient and his medial record is available. He doesn’t want to opt for any other medical facility than the one in jail, nor does Maryam.
