ISLAMABAD: Election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provincial assembly constituency PK-78 has been postponed following the martyrdom of ANP candidate barrister Haroon Bilour in a suicide blast during a corner meeting in Peshawar in connection with election-2018.

According to announcement made by Election Commission, the polls in PK-78 have been postponed due to death of a candidate. The election schedule in respect of this constituency will be announced later.

ANP candidate Bashir Bilour was on his way to stage during a corner meeting in connection with election campaign and was targeted by a suicide bomber. As many 20 persons including Bashir Bilour were martyred and over 60 persons were injured.
It may be mentioned that Bashir Bilour father of barrister Haroon Bilour was martyred during a suicide attack on December 22, 2012.
