ZHOB: Police have arrested two members of an inter-city gang of motorcycle lifters and recovered two stolen bikes from their possession. The police also recovered 18 bottles of liquor on Quetta Road area but no arrest was made till filling of this report.
Addressing a press conference at police Thana, Station House Officer (SHO) Asad Khwasti said that the police succeeded to apprehend two members of a gang involved in motorcycle theft and recovered two stolen motorcycles from their possession. He said.
Meanwhile, the police on a tip-off recovered 18 bottles of liquor on Quetta Raod area. However, no arrests have been made so for.
“Steps would be taken against anti-social elements through mutual coordination to ensure effective policing”, The SHO maintained.
He said it was the responsibility of police to protect life and property of masses and develop a sense of security. Luckily, he said the police with limited resources were doing well to reduce the crime ratio.
“There is a need for coordinated efforts to completely root-out the elements involved in contraband and inhuman business and pushing the young generation towards the menace,” adding cooperation of public was essential to overcome the crimes as police alone cannot do so. The SHO said.
The masses should extend their cooperation towards police for curbing crimes in the society, as the responsibility of police were to high their morale, minimize crimes and ensure their commitment to the profession to yield maximum results. He emphasized.
Last month on the special directives of DIG Police Zhob Region, traffic police during a special drive took down pressure horns from hundreds of light, heavy vehicles and motorcycles to reduce the noise pollution and smooth traffic flow in the city.
