Islamabad(Daily P.Times) : The Senate Standing Committee on Information, Broadcasting was informed that Rs 377 million was paid in the capacity of pension. The meeting of the committee was held under the chairmanship of Faisal Javid. During the meeting information secretary Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera has stated that pension was given to 90 people of PTV and added Rs 377 million was paid in the capacity of pension. He said that medical and other bills have also cleared of these employees. Moreover, he stated that all the political parties were being given equal coverage in the PTV programs. However, he accepted the PTV was also facing shortage of funds. He informed the members that PTV Sports is running much better and currently eleven sports programs were being running. However, during the meeting Senator Anwaar ul Haq Kakar raised question that why PTV failed despite of such big infrastructure. Caretaker Information Minister Ali Zafar has also participated in the meeting.
