Muzaffarabad(Daily P.Times) : Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to re-advertise the sale of a government plot located in Islamabad to get better price of it.
The decision was taken at Board of Governor meeting of Azad Kashmir Logging and Saw Mills Corporation (AKLASC). The meeting chaired by Prime Minister Raja farooq haider Khan here on Monday was attended by minister for Sports Chaudhary Mohammad Saeed , Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir, Additional Chief Secretary Development, Secretary Finance , Secretary Forest , Chief Conservator Forest and the private members of AKLASC board.
Earlier the Prime Minister was briefed about the assets of abolished AKLASC Department and other related issues. It was decided in the meeting that the costly commercial plot possessed by defunct AKLASC department would be effectively re-advertise in national media to get reasonable prices of the land. Speaking on the occasion Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that retrenched employees of the AKLASC department would get all due benefits in shape of golden hand shake and the money to be acquired from the sale of land would be utilized on payment of the arrears of the employees. It was also decided in the meeting that governing will fulfil its promises made with the retrenched employed of the AKLAC.
Meanwhile Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Information, Tourism and Information Technology, Raja Mushtaq Minhas has said that present government is taking concrete steps to ensure rule of Law and to uphold the merit in the state. He expressed these views while talking to various public delegations during his visit to his constituency here on Monday. He said that people of Azad Kashmir are reaping benefits of the reforms initiated by the PNL-N Government adding that introduction of National Testing Service (NTS) for the first time in Azad Kashmir ensured fair and transparent system of recruitment of teachers and the Education Departments.
The Minister said that development projects are being implemented all over Azad Kashmir with special focus on remote and neglected areas to bring them at par with other parts of the state as a part of the promises made with the people by PML-N Government. He said that being elected member, he is fully aware the problems being faced by the people of his constituency. Raja Mushtaq Minhas urged his constituents to priorities their demands so that important issues of the constituency could be resolved on priority bases. Earlier the Minister visited Culary, Nariola, Kuterra Mast Khan, Koteri Kandeel and Tangiat and offered Fateha on the death of different people
