Tough contest expected in NA-59 Rawalpindi III

Rawalpindi(Daily P.Times) : A tough contest is expected between Ch. Nisar Ali Khan and Ghulam Sarwar Khan in NA-59 Rawalpindi III. Dissent PML-N leader Ch. Nisar Ali Khan is contesting the next general election as an independent candidate and on the other side Ghulam Sarwar Khan contesting election from PTI platform. PML_N gives party ticket to Engineer Qamarul Islam Raja.The inner sources stated that currently Ch. Nisar Ali Khan is facing serious difficulties owing to not get PML_N ticket. PTI Candidate Ghulam Sarwar Khan could upset on this seat owing to the widely distribution of PML-N votes.From 1970 to 1977 this constituency had called NA-28 and during the period of 1977 to 2002 this constituency renamed NA-38. Now after the 2002 general election this constituency named NA-52 till 2018. Now it changed to NA-59 Rawalpindi after the new delimitation.Ch. Nisar Ali Khan had been elected an MNA seven times in 1985, 1988, 1990, 1993, 1997, 2002 and 2008) –from NA-52 (Rawalpindi-III) in 2002 and from NA-53 (Rawalpindi – IV) in 2008. Seasonal politician Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had won this seat in 1988 as an independent candidate. PPP candidate Gen. Retd Taka Khan took second position by scoring 57665 votes.There are 15 candidates participate in 2013 general election in NA 52 constituency of Islamabad Province. Ch Nisar Ali Khan had won the election by receiving 132905 votes by defeating LT COL R Ajmal Sabir Raja PTI got 69539 votes, Muhammad Basharat Raja got 43833 votes and other candidates of NA-52.
After the 2002 general election this constituency changed into NA-52. This is the negative constituency of Ch. Nisar Ali Khan. Ch. Nisar Ali Khan declared victories in 2002 general election as he took 73671 votes. In 2008 election PML-N awarded ticket to Ch. Nisar Ali Khan again and he declared victorious from two constituencies. Later Ch. Left this constituency and re election was held. Later PML-N candidate Safdar Awan won the seat by scoring 54917 votes.
