Ahsan tenders unconditional apology to court in contempt of court case


LAHORE: Former Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has tendered unqualified apology to court in contempt of court case.
Former interior minister has filed detailed reply.
Contempt of court case against Ahsan Iqbal came up for hearing before Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi of Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday.
Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar remarked “ the words which are legally used in connection with apology have not been used in your written reply. A day before one person was disqualified and he was saying outside the court that he never offered apology.
Ahsan Iqbal said “ I respect judiciary.
The court while seeking reply adjourned the hearing of the case till Monday.
Talking to media men outside the court Ahsan said one sided actions are being taken against PML-N. Political victimization of PML-N is earning support for it among the people. We don’t need any enmity with Imran Khan. People will reject him on July 25. Imran Khan is still raw hand in politics, he added.
