Larkana: Additional District and Sessions Judge Larkana Gul Zameer Solangi, who was admonished by Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar during his visit to Larkana has resigned.
CJP on June 23 had a surprise visit to a Sessions Court in Larkana and expressed anger after he spotted cell phone of Sessions Judge on the table during court proceedings. He picked up the mobile phone and threw it onto the table. CJP also ordered immediate transfer of the Judge.
The Additional Sessions Judge sent the resignation Letter to Registrar Sindh High Court Tuesday.
In his resignation letter Solangi wrote that he was posted in Larkana on March 20 2017. “CJP visited my Court during the court proceedings, expressed anger and threw my mobile phone onto my table which was broadly aired on electronic, print and social media, “that injured my dignity”. He further wrote that he was unable to continue his work in such an environment hence he was resigning.
