Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) A posters exhibition to highlight menace of drugs was arranged under auspices of Rawalpindi Arts Council and Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan to mark International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking here on Monday. Director General ANF Maj Gen Musarat Nawaz Malik HI(M) was the chief guest of the posters exhibition and prize distribution ceremony flanked Naheed Manzoor, Joint Director ANF Muhammad Riaz Soomro, and Director RAC Waqar Ahmed. A total of 90 students participated in posters competition entitled “Nashey sy Inkar, Zindgi sey Pyar”. Famous artist Masud Khawaja anchored the ceremony. Addressing at the prize distribution ceremony, Director General ANF Maj Gen Musarat Nawaz Malik HI(M) said that it was first priority to abolish drugs from the country and every Pakistan must play his role in this regard. He said that parents should keep a vigilant eye on their children to save them from this menace. Naheed Manzoor said that it hoped that drug abuse would be finished from the country. Director RAC Waqar Ahmed thanked the distinguished guests and said that it was best thing to highlight drug abuse. Shumail secured first, Shehla bagged second, Sonam Nawaz got third and Aleena Azhar secured fourth consolation prize while encouragement prizes were also distributed among ten competitors which were Hala Gul, Kanwal Kazmi, Rimsha Rafique, Noor Iqbal, Saman Qandeel, Aqsa, Zeerak Fatima, Syeda Fatima Ajaz, Rimsha Shahzadi and Qirat Qamar. The exhibition would be continued for one week. Renowned artist Azeem Iqbal, Mehmood Ali and Younis Roomi adjudged the ceremony.
