Islamabad: The federal cabinet has approved posting of all provincial Chief Secretaries and Inspector General of Police with immediate effect.
The meeting of the cabinet was held at PM Secretariat. Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (R) Nasir-ul-Mulk chaired the meeting.
In order to ensure free, fair and transparent elections in the country, the Federal Cabinet, in consultation with the Election Commission of Pakistan and the respective provincial governments has appointed Akbar Hussain Durrani on the slot of Chief Secretary Punjab, while Azam Suleman Khan would work as Chief Secretary Sindh. Similarly Naveed Kamran Baloch would be new Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, whereas Akhtar Nazeer would be the Chief Secretary of Baluchistan.
The federal cabinet has also changed the IGs of all four provinces as Syed Kaleem Imam has been appointed as IG Punjab. Amjad Javed Saleemi would be the police head in the province of Sindh. Likewise Muhammad Tahir would be the IG KP and Mohsin Hassan Butt would be Provincial Police chief of Baluchistan.
