HED AJK dines out: Prof Zubair Sajid

Muzaffarabad : (PR) To mark the successful completion of an excellent and outstanding service rendered by Prof Muhammad Zubair Sajid in different capacities a farewell Iftar dinner was hosted in Royal Continental Hotel Muzaffarabad by Department of Higher Education . AJK Education Minister Barrister Iftekhar Ali Gilani addressing the gathering applauded the services of Prof Zubair and said that we are proud of the services of Prof Zubair since he has set a role model to follow, as teacher as well as an administrator, for other officers of Higher Education Department. His valuable services for the cause of education will always be remembered. Prof Sahib has left behind a large network of shining pupils in almost every walk of life to follow his footprints said the AJK Minister for Education. The Minister at this occasion presented a gift to the chief guest as token of the recognition of his valuable services.
Addressing the gathering Chief Guest Prof. Zubair Sajid congratulated the Minister Education that he being part of Farooq Haider Cabinet deserve all appreciation for successful 13th amendment in the Interim Constitution of 1974, which going to mke AJK government financially more powerful and more responsible than it has ever been. He said that he has witnessed a different department of Higher Education on his repatriation from AIOU. He said that he felt proud to be a part of that education department on his return and retirement where now teachers are recruited on merit, and government has rooted out all political influence whatsoever which was characterized by the hitherto prevalent education system. He also paid thanks for organizing a worthwhile farewell and thanked the Minister for education Barrister Iftekhar Ali Gilani and other higher officials of the Higher Education Department.
Among others, this historic event was attended by the all the top brass of the Higher Education Department including Secretary Higher Education Department Mr Zahid Abbasi, Director Public Instructions Colleges Dr. Abdur Rahman, Divisional Director Colleges Prof Qazi Abraheem, Renowned Educationist and scholar Prof. Shaukat Rasool Pandit, Director Public Service Commission AJK Miss Farzana Rasool, Prof. Fauzia Naheed Deputy Director Deputy Director Colleges, Prof. Riffat Rashid Deputy Director Colleges, Prof. Azam Sheikh Deputy Director Colleges, Principal and professors of Govt. Postgraduate College Muzaffarabad with their families. Some officers of AIOU Muzaffarabad Mr. Mahmood Ahmed and Mrs. Rukhsana Shafqat Student Counselor also joined the event on a special invitation.
Mr. Zahid Abasi Secretary Higher Education GoAJK at this occasion also congratulated Prof. Muhammad Zubair Sajid on the successful completion of his professional innings and presented a gift on behalf of Higher Education Department.
Prof. Zeshan Gilani in his address paid glowing tributes to the services of Prof. Zubair as professor of Economics, as Deputy Director Colleges, as Director Planning HED lastly as RD AIOU Muzaffarabad. Lastly, a shield was presented to Minister Education on behalf of AIOU for his historically invaluable services for the promotion of quality education in AJK. The event was arranged by Professors of Govt. College Muzaffarabad Prof Zeshan Gilani, Prof Ashfaq Kh and Prof Rashid Aziz Ganai.
