Badin: Former Speaker of National assembly of Pakistan and MNA, Dr. Fehmida Mirza while speaking in National assembly of Pakistan during a session said that while country was facing various challenges unemployment and poverty was increasing with each passing day.
She said people of Badin were sustaining acute shortage of water for long and growers were facing huge loss and damage due to water shortage while people were unable to gain potable water. She said unannounced power outages and gas load shedding has made lives miserable. She condemned deadly attack over federal Interior minister and said if federal minister was not secure and safe how they could expect the security of a common man. She said it was so alarming when election 2018 and security has become question. She said due to utilization of contaminated and sewerage mixed water, Hepatitis and other viral diseases were spreading. She lauded the water commission and initiatives taken by the commission and expected betterment in connection of supply of pure drinking water to the citizens. She said corruption, favoritism, high headedness, unemployment, poverty and improper measures taken by the government was causing unrest and uncertainty among the masses. Mirza said every thing was going through assumption and number game. She said trillions of rupees were allocated for Punjab and specific districts but in her constituency and Badin, people were neglected of development schemes. She further said not to talk about University and Colleges even a school was not made in Badin by federal or Sindh government to facilitate new generation.
She said people of Badin were deprived of gas and oil royalty and bonus despite of major production from the district and people of Badin were neglected of such legal and constitutional right. She said she was assured by the Speaker of National assembly and Prime Minister of Pakistan in the parliament to resolve the matters people of Badin were facing but those were not implemented. She said federal and Sindh government could not provide basic amenities to people. She said she would raise voice for the rights of constituency and peole of Badin. It is pertinent to mention that former Speaker of National assembly, Dr. Fehmida Mirza has raised voice against injustices and rights of people of Badin in 5th session of National assembly consecutively.
