ZHOB: “Education is the fundamental right of every child. Imparting education can change the destiny of a nation. No stone will be left unturned to make all the educational institutions fully functional and facilitated”, said District Officer Education Sheikh Musa Khan Mandokhail, while expressing at District Development Forum, organized by Balochistan Rural Support Program – Program for Poverty Reduction in Badinzai union council.
District Program Manager Sher Hassan Barozai, Human Development Foundation representative Muhammad Aslam, Coordinator Education Support Program Razziq Jan Kakar, National Commission for Human Development representative Fahim Mandokhail, DPC Sherani Qasim Sherani and Engineer Hashim Mandokhail attended the roundtable meeting.
Project Officer PPR Quttab Mandokhail in his welcome remarks briefed the participants and said that the aim and objectives of holding the forum was to promote education in rural areas, make government-run schools fully functional, enrollment of out of school children, functioning Parents Teachers School Management Committee and the provision of reading writing material to students in all villages of Badinzai – a remote union council of the district.
DOE Sheikh Musa Khan Mandokhail, who presided over the session, appreciated the significant role and efforts made by BRSP-PPR for the promotion of education and putting the backward areas on the path of development.
“We are fully committed to make the government-run schools fully functional and equipped with facilities not only in Badinzai, but also in the entire district on priority basis,” The education officer vowed.
It is worth mentioning that BRSP has been covering a series of activities aimed at social mobilization, improving health, education and living standard of poor and marginalized communities here in the poverty stricken district.
