London: Kashmir Voice International (KVI) in a condolence meeting paid rich tributes to Khurshaid. H. Drabu who passed away here yesterday.

KVI shares the grief with the family, its five member delegation participated in his funeral today at Woking UK.
His contribution to the promotion of Kashmiri culture in UK was immense. He was the founder of Kashmiri British Association (KBA).
In 1990 when unrest started in Kashmir Khurshaid founded Kashmir Council for Human Rights(KCHR). Almost all the valley people joined the organization and rallied round him. He forcefully projected the atrocities committed in Kashmir by the armed forces. His opposition to the killings in Kashmir was enormously courageous.
Drabu believed in inclusive and multi-cultural society of Kashmir and loved Kashmiri MILCHAR. He along with his friends made sincere efforts to unite two distinct Kashmiri communities in UK.
He was a professional person of high standards and first Kashmiri, appointed judge in the British Judiciary. He was one of the founder members of British Muslim Council. He was the third Muslim and first Kashmiri to receive the honor of CBE.
He will be remembered for all his contribution. KVI prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
