MUZAFFARABAD(Daily Parliment Times) : Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has urged overseas Kashmiris to play their due role in exposing Indian barbarities before the world.
He was addressing workers of Pakistan Muslim League Azad Kashmir at Bolton in North West of UK. The Prime Minister said a large number of Kashmiris especially those from AJK currently residing in UK and other countries of Europe can bring Kashmir issue back to UN agenda if they work with courage and determination.
Denouncing the large-scale human rights violations taking place in Indian Held Kashmir, Prime Minister urged the international community to help resolve the decades-old Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and protection of their fundamental rights. Describing what happened to Asifa at Kathua as a crime against humanity, Haider asserted that culprits involved in the gruesome act must not go unpunished.
He said if nothing else has opened the eyes of the international community as to the nature of the Indian occupation of Kashmir, this should serve as a wake-up call. Haider urged the community leaders to spread the account of the plight of Kashmiris in their respective communities so that a narrative could be built against Indian high-handedness to build a global opinion against Indian oppression.
Appreciating April 18 joint protest in London by different political parties of Kashmir, AJK PM said there might be differences among the political leaders but on the Kashmir issue, all the leadership was united and there were no differences. Prime Minister Haider also eulogized the untiring efforts of the members of UK Parliament of Kashmiri origin especially of Lord Nazir, Afzal Khan for highlighting the plights of the oppressed Kashmiri people within the parliament and outside.
