Karachi: The Karachi business community has announced to further speedup the ongoing token strike against the worst unannounced load-shedding in different parts of Karachi.
The representatives of business community have demanded NAB investigation against K-Electric as they held K-Electric responsible of this alarming situation.
They further stated that a shutter down strike would be observed from 3 to 5pm at Korangi Qazafi Market Karachi if announced and unannounced load-shedding routine not end.
Karachi business community traders have expressed these views while addressing the participants of token strike that was held at Liaquatabad Ibn Sina market. The protestors chanted slogans against KE accusing the power utility of over-billing consumers and cutting power supply for longer durations throughout the day.
Number of resolutions has also passed on the occasion. They demanded that legal procedure should be conducted against the Chairman and Managing Director of K-Electric after lodging FIR as high-ups of K-electric has intentionally created such worst situation.
Controversial electric meters of K-eclectic that were casing overbilling should be removed immediately, they mentioned in presented resolution.
The Chairman All City Etihad Association Muhammad Sharjeel Goplani, the President of Ibn Sina Furniture market Abdul Haseeb, general secretary Muhammad Faisal, Chairman Liaquatabad trader association Ansar Baig Qadri, Tariq Mumtaz and other also address on the occasion.
It was worth mentioned here that recently, KE had hinted that load-shedding would continue throughout Ramadan and no exception would be made during Sehr and Iftar timings, unlike earlier promises in which it claimed to provide uninterrupted power supply at least at the two times of the fasting days.
