Islamabad: Daily wages teachers of Federal Educational institutions who stand deprived of salaries have approached Supreme Court (SC) to seek justice.
The teachers have taken the plea in the letter written to Chief Justice if Pakistan (CJP) that state minister for CADD Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Federal Directorate of Education(FDE) are adamant on encroaching upon the rights of the teachers who are serving since ten years.
Since last Government till today, about 150000 daily wages employees of government departments have been regularized. However, FDE is hampering the process of regularization of Daily wages teachers, the letter added.
This stance has been taken further in the letter that in such a time where a laborer is paid Rs 700 per day, MSC and highly educated daily wages teachers are paid Rs350 per day and this payment has also not been made since six months.
CJP has been appealed to take Suo moto notice and solve the problems of starving daily wages teacher of FDE.
A complete list of 1791 teachers working with FDE has been sent to the learned court along with the letter.
