Islamabad: The Secretary Ministry of Human Rights Rabia Javeri Agha may be removed from her post due to having dual nationality.
Top bureaucrat, who is working directly under the supervision of the Prime Minister’s office, is holding dual British nationality reveals official correspondence.
Chief justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar has taken notice of dual citizenship of civil servants and judges of superior and district courts in the third week of January, 2018. The Ministry of Human Rights submitted a proforma saying that Rabia Javeri Agha, Secretary HR has the nationality of the United Kingdom.
According to the notification: “The honorable Supreme Court of Pakistan vide order dated 17.01.2018 passed in C.P No 3339 & 3340 of 20126 has directed to provide complete information as how many civil servants working in BS – 17 and above in the federal as well as provincial governments have dual nationality.
To save her skin ,reportedly she planned to see the Prime Minister but there was no green signal from PM’s office., however she continuously trying to influence through top political leadership.
It is to remember that Interior Minister Ihsan Iqbal reportedly has ordered to remove all dual national bureaucrats in the ministry.
