Islamabad: Nomination papers of Ishaq Dar have been challenged in Supreme Court (SC) .
PPP candidate Nawazish Pirzada filed the appeal plea against High Court decision on Friday. It has been stated in petition that Ishaq Dar is absconding from Accountability Court.
Lahore High Court (LHC) removed the objections on his nomination papers and allowed him to contest in senate election, he added .
It has been said in the petition that LHC overlooked the facts while under law absconding accused has no fundamental rights.
He prayed decision of High Court (HC) is against the facts therefore the decision should be set aside.
The petitioner has requested in the plea that nomination papers of Ishaq Dar should be rejected.
Meanwhile, LHC decision for allowing PML-N candidate Hafiz Abdul Kareem to contest in senate election has also been challenged in SC.
It has been said in the petition that returning officer rejected the nomination papers of Hafiz Abdul Kareem because he mentioned in his papers that he is Technocrat. But he is not technocrat and he is a business man.
High Court has allowed Hafiz Abdul Kareem to contest the senate poll on his appeal.
SC has been requested to nullify the decision of LHC and reject the nomination papers.
