Islamabad: (Parliament Times) A delegation of members of the AJ&K Legislative Assembly led by minister for Food Syed Shaukat Shah called on Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan here on Wednesday and discussed the issues of the Kashmiri refugees settled in Pakistan.
Prime Minister assured the delegation that resources would be provided to settle the issues faced by the migrant community.
Minister for Transport and Rehabilitation Nasir Hussain Dar, chairman Public Accounts Committee Choudhary Ishaq, Ahmed Raza Qadri, Choudhary Muhammad Ismail and Raja Muhammad Sadique were amongst the other members of the delegation.
Talking on the occasion the AJK Premier said, “We acknowledge there are challenges for refugees but we are providing services to our brothers and sisters so they could live peacefully”. He further said that only the government of Azad Kashmir, not UNHCR, is providing help to the Kashmiri refugees.
On the situation in occupied Kashmir, the Prime Minister said the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have stood up against the tyranny of Indian armed forces. “In the face of guns they chant the slogan of Pakistan Zindabad. When they are martyred by Indian army they are buried with honor wrapped in Pakistani flag. This is loud and clear message to the whole world that they want freedom and join Pakistan,” the PM added.
