Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Vice president All Kashmir News Papers Society and chief Editor Daily Farzand-e-Kashmir Quetta/Rawalakot, AJK. Muhammad Shoukat Kashmiri passed away after a protracted illness in Quetta.
The deceased has been living in Quetta for past 20 years where he remained engaged with Kashmiri community as a pro-active political and social worker besides pursuing his carrier in journalism. During his carrier as a working journalist Kashmiri worked with different news papers of Balochistan and later on started his own news paper “Farzand-e-Kashmir” to give voice to over 15000 members of Kashmiri community settled in the province. Later on the news daily was also published from Rawalakot Azad Kashmir.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister and President of Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob Khan, President All Kashmir News Papers Society, Amir Mehboob, Sardar former president Zahid Tabassum, Deputy General Secretary Javed Iqbal Chudhary, senior journalist Salman Chudhary and other prominent political and religious personalities of AJK have expressed deep sense of shock over the demise of Shoukat Kashmiri and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Hailing from Jabota Choti Nakar area of Rawalakot Shoukat Kashmiri died of cardiac arrest in Quetta, the funeral prayers of the deceased will be held at his native village on Tuesday, which was attended by large number of people including the members of journalist community.
