Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that the state cannot be established without the power of society and women’s role in making a society more civilized is important.
Prime Minister expressed these views while addressing scholarship and laptops distribution ceremony among Faculty members of Women’s University Bagh here on Monday. Minister for Forests Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Vice Chancellor Women University Bagh Professor Dr. Haleem Khan, Lubna Haroon, Ghayur Abbasi and others were also present on the occasion.
While admiring the progress of Women University Bagh, PM expressed satisfaction over the performance of the University. He said that girls should not attend university only for a degree, but to contribute for the development of the state through their academic qualifications. Prime Minister on the occasion, stated that Women University Bagh is for all the women around the state, “Issue of the university will be addressed before long, I will visit there soon” he maintained.
Prime Minister reiterated that our youth must be apprised about innovative changes in society so we can compete with contemporary challenges.
“We have our own textbook board I was apprised that textbook board AJK have just one specialist, how can he prepare all the courses, we want to add 5 PhD scholars in this textbook board, as our curriculum is compatible along with modern requirements”, the PM said,
Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that incumbent government is endeavoring to provide employment opportunities to masses on merit basis, saying that the Public Service Commission for Gazette recruitment and NTS for non-gazette recruitment are providing employment opportunities to youth on merit.
Prime Minister Azad Kashmir on the event congratulated the faculty members who have received scholarships.
Meanwhile Prime Minister also appreciated the efforts of Chairman Higher Education Comission Dr. Mukhtar for providing laptops and scholarships to the faculty members of Women University Bagh.
