Islamabad: Denouncing in strong terms the killing of a school-van driver in AJK’s Batal sector by Indian forces, the Prime Minister of the Azad Kashmiri (PM AJK) Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that the attack on school van and subsequent killing of driver was worst example of India’s naked aggression on the LoC.
Prime Minister expressed this in a press conference on Thursday night at Kashmir House Islamabad. Referring to terrible incidents of ceasefire violations on the LoC that resulted in the killing unarmed innocent civilians, the PM said that Indian army was in the habit of targeting civilians. About the recent killing in AJK’s Batal sector he said that the school van was targeted through Sniper Riffles due to which driver embraced martyrdom on the spot. “Indian army is the world’s worst Army that has been targeting innocent civilians including women and children”, he said adding that there was no such example in the world that an army targets civilians, especially children and ambulances.
“The Pak Army in response never targeted any civilian and is best professional army; the whole Kashmiri nation is with the Pak armed forces.” PM AJK maintained. He added that India army was committing state terrorism in occupied Kashmir, “but the fearless Kashmiri are not afraid of such brutal acts”.
In response to a question, the Prime Minister said that he has given direction to the pertinent departments for the purpose of ensuring the availability of ambulances in the far-flung areas near control line. “All deputy commissioners have been instructed to ensure the best treatment of the injured and funerals of martyrs with State honor”, he said.
Voicing his serious concern over the Indian atrocities and brutalities in occupied Kashmir, the PM said that Global powers should redouble their efforts to resolve the long-running Kashmir dispute to ensure durable peace in the region”. Terming Indian aggression on the LoC as a threat to peace in the region, Raja Farooq Haider Khan urged the global community to take notice of the Indian Army’s aggression and atrocities in occupied Kashmir”.
The Prime Minister also appealed to the Government of Pakistan to raise the issue of continuous violations on LoC by Indian Army in United Nations Security Council, “Pakistan must raise the issue of targeting the civilians, schools and hospitals in the Security Council”, he maintained. Prime Minister in the press conference expressed his deep concerns over the health of Hurriyat Leader Yasin Malik and demanded for the best therapies and facilities for the treatment of Hurriyat leader.
