MUZAFFARABAD: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that no power in the world can separate Kashmir from Pakistan.

While addressing a seminar in the Presidency of AJK organized under the aegis of National Defense University here on Saturday, Prime Minister stated that our commercial and cultural paths are connected with Pakistan, “in order to strengthen ties with Pakistan, amendments in Interim Constitution Act 1974 are inevitable”.

“It is inevitable to get a valid part of the central resources through the 18th constitutional amendment, when provinces are availing these resources, why should masses from Azad Kashmir be deprived of such advantages” PM AJK maintained.

He voiced that government of Pakistan has started a formal work on this and a meeting regarding this is going to be held on 13th February.

“End of dual tax system from AJK,reduction in the authority of Kashmir Council, refund of the remaining schemes of the earthquake affected areas are the needs of the State.” Prime Minister added.

Prime Minister expressed that our brethren in Pakistan should have full confidence on us as we also trust them, and we have never disappointed them.

He said, “Our elders have sacrificed for this region besides making of Pakistan.”

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir highlighted the administrative structure of Azad Kashmir, saying that some subjects are given to Kashmir council due to which AJK government can not play an effective role regarding administrative issues, if the authority of these subjects is given to the elected assembly and the administration then better results can be achieved regarding the governance.

While talking about the resources, he said that the resources of the State are owned by the government.

Prime Minister has stressed that our participation in the NFC Award within Pakistan is inevitable, the formula of 1992 is now old, Balochistan was receiving five percent, and today it has reached up to 9% and we could not even get that share.

Prime Minister highlighted the core issues that are needed to be address and uttered that incumbent government of AJK is trying to resolve the main issues before long.
