Exhibition of Calligraphy & Illumination by Iranian artists concludes


Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) The three days exhibition of Iranian Islamic Arts by Iranian artists Hossein Ali Asfandyar and Atena Asfandyar has been concluded on Saturday. Additional Secretary Culture Government of Punjab Saman Rai was chief guest of the concluding session. The exhibition was arranged by Khana Farhang Iran in collaboration with Rawalpindi Arts Council based on calligraphy and Illumination in connection with 39th anniversary of Islamic Revolution of Iran. DG Khana Farhang Iran, Rawalpindi Ali Aqhanouri, Naheed Manzoor and Director RAC Waqar Ahmed welcomed the distinguished guest. She take a round of the exhibition with artists Hossein Ali Asfandyar and Atena Asfandyar. They briefed about the Calligraphy and Illumination. Addressing at the closing ceremony, Additional Secretary Culture Saman Rai said that art has no boundary and artists remains artists everywhere. She applauded the art work of Hossein Ali Asfandyar and Atena Asfandyar and said they had introduced new techniques in Calligraphy and Illumination. DG Khana Farhang Iran, Rawalpindi Ali Aqhanouri thanked the chief guest and said being an art lover, her visit was proved propitious for the artists. He said that Rawalpindi Arts Council always cooperated a lot with Khana Farhang. Naheed Manzoor said that Saman Rai has achieved very distinct position due to her ability. ASC Saman Rai also distributed certificates among artists at the end.
