    Provision of quality education, health services top priorities of govt: PM AJK

    Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan has said that the health and education are among the top priorities of incumbent government and it will spend more money on the health sector to facilitate masses. Prime Minister made these assertions while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Nutrition Stabilization Centre in Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) Muzaffarabad here on Thursday. Minister for Health AJK Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Minister for Socila Welfare Mrs.Noreen Arif and Secretary Health also addressed the occasion. Prime Minister, on the event stated that the nutritional program for children is one of the great significance and credit for this program goes to Health Minister Dr. Najeeb Naqi and his team.This center has been established with the help of World Food Program, “Our mission is to develop a healthy nation.” PM AJK maintained. He reiterated that Food testing laboratory is being set up in Azad Kashmir before long. Prime Minister voiced that lady health workers are directly in contact with the public, “services of lady health workers will be utilized to aware the parents about children health and nutritions, balance diet for children is very important for their growth” he said. Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that children are our future, the use of accurate and standard food is important in their upbuilding, “we have to create a healthy society, and mothers should feed their children for two years.” PM AJK exhorted. He added that everyone will have to work together to improve the society, “There are 132 centers in Azad Kashmir where balanced food to the children with food shortage is being treated.” Prime Minister said that due to the difficulties in far-flung areas, people cannot bring their children to the hospital and there is also a lack of awareness about children’s balanced diet in remote areas. “The government will provide nutritional facilities on priority basis in remote areas, including district Neelum and Haveli” Prime Minister added.

    Prime Minister Azad Kashmir stated that health card program has been started with the federal government’s co-operation to provide better and standard health facilities for the masses.

    Talking about doctors, PM AJK stated that the doctor is a sacred profession, their salaries should be good, but doctors they also have huge responsibilities on them, “The role of nurse in the patient’s treatment consists of primary significance, the doctor only checks but nurses duties have been doubled regarding health care facilities of patients and to improve the quality of hospitals.”
