    Serving humanity the only option to get spiritual consolation: M Idrees

    FAISALABAD: Serving humanity is the only option to get spiritual consolation, said Mian Muhammad Idress endorsed candidate for International Director for Lions International Club.

    Addressing a “Charter Night” of the Faisalabad Ultimate Lions Club (FULC), he mentioned that a man become human when he feels the sufferings of others fellows brethren and among them, he is the best who take practical steps to provide them necessary help and succor.

    Continuing Mian Muhammad Idress said that being a Muslim every individual is donating charity, but we could get better results from this obligation by working in a planned and systematic manner. He said that lion club is unique in this respect that some members could afford money while others could spare their precious time and thus their joint efforts mitigate the sufferings of the needy segments. He congratulated Engineer Ahmed Hassan President (FULC) and said that it started working immediately, instead of waiting for the charter and so far this club has completed many welfare projects which have become operational and are providing relief to the local communities.

    Presenting charter to Engineer Ahmed Hassan, he said that now this club has become an integral part of the Lions International Club which is a one of the biggest NGO of the world. He said that this club has yet another unique feature that its members belong to different segments of life and they have skills, expertise and will to serve the humanity in a much better way as compare to the other clubs of this District.

    Mr. Azhar Chaudhary MCC briefed about the modalities of the working of lions club and said that after getting charter Faisalabad ULC is bound to hold monthly meeting so that unanimous decisions could be made to start new activities in addition to reviewing the ongoing projects.

    Earlier Engineer Ahmed Hassan President FULC said that he had decided to undertake the welfare projects in a most organized manner. After hectic deliberations they had established education, health and sports committees. These committees were handed over to the serious members who have experience in the concerned sectors. He told that he himself is looking after the education sector with a focused approach on vocational training. He said that he had donated 6 Kanal of land for the expansion of vocational training institute Gangapur where four new trades would be started very soon.

    Dr. Zahid Masood Head of Health Committee briefed about his performance and told that this committee was regularly holding free medical camps in addition to celebrating health related international days in order to create awareness among masses.

    Later, Mian Idress formally presented the charter of Lions club to Faisalabad Ultimate Lions Club while he also decorated its members with prestigious pins of Lions Club.

    The meeting was also attended by Secretary General FCCI Mr. Abid Masood, Dr. Jaffar Hasan Mubarik, Mian Muhammad Rafi, Dr. Habib Aslam Ghaba and other members.
