Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (PM AJK) Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan has said, “Today is very important day in the history of Azad Kashmir, Allah Almighty gave us the blessing that we made the finality of Prophet Hood (S.A.W.W) as part of constitution of Azad Jammu and Kashmir”.

While addressing the joint session here on Tuesday after the approval of the bill, the Prime Minister said, “Those who are in favor of this resolution will be blessed by the Prophet (PBUH) here in this world and in the Day of Judgment”.

While greeting the parliamentarians for voting in favour of the historical constitutional amendment the PM said, “It is due to the fact that Allah Almighty has given you all the opportunity to vote in favor of the most this important constitutional amendment that is related to our faith”. The Prime Minister said that it is a matter of happiness and blessing that comes in somebody’s part. “Allah also gave us this blessing that we established the Shariah Appellate Court. Whatever else we can do for the sake of Allah and his Prophet (S.A.W.W), we will do” PM AJK asserted.

He hoped that opposition members will continue to cooperate in the same way. “I congratulate all members of the committee, including the Speaker, Pir Ali Raza Bukhari, Raja Mohammad Siddique, Raja Nisar Ahmad Khan.” Prime Minister greeted. Prime Minister also stated that yesterday, a former Prime Minister raised a question that what kind of issue we are discussing, “I think he did not read the bill at that time, such matters are related to our faith and belief, not with the politics”, he added.

“It will be ensured that there would be no discrimination with any minority belonging to any religion, race or color, protection of their wealth and property is the sole responsibility of incumbent government and we will fulfill our duties, no one has the power to kill, harm or confront any person”.

Referring to the legislation made during the Major (R) Ayub Khan regime, PM AJK said, “It was not easy to vote in the circumstances at that time, and today the heirs of that assembly are present here in this assembly floor who passed this resolution.”
