PM Abbasi lays foundation stone of AJK Assembly building & Peerchanasi road

Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Prime Minister Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in his visit regarding Kashmir Solidarity day inaugurated the foundation stone of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly building besides Muzaffarabad to Peerchanasi road here on Monday.

The construction of the Legislative Assembly building will be constructed under the Federal Ministry of Kashmir Affairs with total cost of 2211.569 million rupees. It may be recalled here that the project was approved by Parliamentary Commission on 01 January 2016, and 3 years period was set to complete it.

Construction of Muzaffarabad Peerchanasi road has given access to better transport facilities besides promoting tourism in the area. This project was completed in 40 months sponsored by Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council.

On this occasion, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan, Prime Minister Raja Mohammad Farooq Haider Khan, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir, Ministers of the State, Members of the Legislative Assembly and Kashmir Council, Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir and other senior officials were present.
