Social groups protest against rape, murder of Kathua girl

Jammu: Various social organizations and groups belonging to different areas of Jammu protested against the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl, Aasifa in Kathua district.
According to Kashmir Media Service (KMS) the protestors staged demonstrations near Press Club Jammu. Speaking on the occasion advocate Ashok Kumar Basotra said, “We all should come forward to emphasize a fair and transparent trial in the case.”
Another activist, Ruchika said that the victim was not only a bakkarwal girl but a daughter of Jammu and Kashmir. “Police have arrested a juvenile in this case which raise various questions on the investigation. Civil society should come forward to fight for justice to the victim’s family,” she said.
