Rawalpindi : A drunken man injured a transgender in a firing incident on Thursday over friendship refusal.
In line with police, the accused Tariq opened fire on a transgender Sonia when she declined friendship offer in Pandora Chung with New Town police station jurisdiction as a result Sonia was injured due to his firing.
Sonia was rushed to Holy family hospital for media treatment.
Police claimed that the accused was arrested and case was registered against him.
Last year, a transgender man had been gunned down within Civil Lines police jurisdiction.
Aurangzeb alias Naila, a resident of Multan, had been residing at a flat at Mureer Chowk. Unknown persons had broken into the flat and shot her dead.
