Christchurch : Chasing huge target of 273, Pakistan were all out on 69 in the semi final of ICC Under-19 World Cup against India on Tuesday.
No Pakistani batsman was able to pose resistance to Indian bowlers and kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 69 runs in 30th over.
Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 102 steered India to 272/9 against Pakistan in semi-final of Under-19 World Cup at Christchurch.
India started well with the openers giving them a stunning start, but both openers departed in quick succession. Shaw was run out for 42 while Kalra was caught behind for 47.
Incredible stuff from Gill as he stayed calm and composed, and finally brought up a much-deserved century off the last ball of the innings.
The pitch seems very good for batting, now it is up to Pakistani players how they take the advantage from it in their crucial run-chase against India. Though Pakistan has missed many opportunities on the field yet they have a chance to prove with bat.
India won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in the second semi-final of Under-19 World Cup at Christchurch.
Both the teams have played impressive cricket throughout the tournament, looking to grab their spot in the final against Australia.
Pakistan has been impressive as they lost only one game against Afghanistan, while India are unbeaten in the tournament.
Pakistan is two-time champions of the tournament while India has won it three times.
