Finance Department released Funds for development projects

Islamabad: Out of the total allocation of Rs. 1001 billion for the development projects under Publc Sector Development Programmes (PSPD) for the year 2017-18 the finance department has released Rs. 344 billion so far in this regard.
According to sources of the Ministry of Planning and Development, the released funds include Rs. 92 billion for federal ministries and Rs 32 billion for special areas. According to details Rs 116 billion have been released for National Highway Authority. An amount of Rs 19 billion has been released for energy projects out of total allocation of Rs 63 billion. Similarly Rs 5.2 billion have been released for Communication Division, out of the total allocation of Rs. 13 billion. Railways Division HAS received Rs 15 billion out of its total allocation of Rs. 42 billion while Aviation Division received Rs. 964 million out of its total allocation of Rs4.34 billion.
The Finance Ministry also released an amount of Rs. 11.6 billion for various development projects of Higher Education Commission out of total allocation of Rs. 35.6 billion, while Rs 3.6 billion have been released for Atomic Energy Commission.
Water and Power Division (water sector) received Rs 10.7 billion out of its total allocation of Rs 36.75 billion. The government has also released Rs 8 billion for National Health Services, out of the total allocation of Rs. 48, while Rs 114 million have been released for Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority against the total allocation of Rs. 409 million. An amount of Rs. 326 million have been released for Climate Change Division against the total allocation of Rs. 815 million. An amount of Rs 4 billion have been released for Petroleum and Natural Resource, Rs 1.7 billion released for Planning and Development Division, whereas Rs 1 billion have been released for SUPARCO.
Similarly, the government has also released Rs 6 billion for Housing and Works division while Rs. 80 million for Human Rights Division, and Rs 385 million for National Food Security and Research Division.
The Finance Department has also released Rs 14 billion for AJK, Rs 7.7 billion for Gilgit Baltistan whereas Rs 10.5 billion have been released for SAFRON and FATA. An amount of Rs 9 billion has been released for Prime Minister’s Youth Hunarmand Programme against the allocation of Rs. 20 billion.
