Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The federal minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ch. Muhammad Birjees Tahir on Sunday while condemning in strong terms the Indian Army Chief Gen. Bipan Rawat’s statement termed it as a deliberate attempt to further destabilise the fragile security situation in south Asia.
Urging international community to take effective notice of the Indian General’s statement, the federal minster stated that such irresponsible and antagonistic statements could jeopardize peace and stability of the entire South Asian region. He said that Pakistan’s nuclear deterrence provides a credible guarantee for regional peace and security.
Referring to India’s nefarious designs against Pakistan he said that India was hatching conspiracies to derail CPEC thereby fomenting political instability and terrorism in the country. He said that on one hand Indian occupation forces have unleashed reign of terror in occupied Kashmir while on the other its forces have been targeting civilian population across the line of control without any rhyme or reason.
Regarding India’s naked aggression the federal minister said that during last 12 days Indian forces have committed more than 70 ceasefire violations along the Line of Control. He said that arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushun Jadhav was a living proof of Indian state agencies’ involvement in creating unrest in Pakistan. He said that the people of Pakistan and its army were fully cognizant of threats emanating from Eastern boarders. “Armed forces of Pakistan are capable enough to thwart any misadventure by the enemy and stand alert to defend every inch of the motherland”, he added.
