Report on summoning MQM founder through advertisement in Imran Farooq murder case filed in ATC

ISLAMABAD: Report on summoning MQM founder Altaf Hussain through advertisement in the court in Imran Farooq murder case has been filed in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Islamabad.

The report was filed by FIA prosecutor while NOC from interior ministry and receipt and letter of company have also been made part of this report.

According to FIA prosecutor Khawaja Imtiaz it has been said in the report that advertisement against MQM founder will be got printed in UK and US newspapers. The newspapers in which this advertisement will be printed include the Guardian and US newspaper New York Times , he added.
The advertisement firm was contacted on December 22 on this count and reply from this company was received on January 05. Payment of Rs 1.3 million has to be made to advertisement firm for printing advertisement and funds will soon be released to firm on this count, he stated.

The ATC judge, Shahrukh Arjumand said to Khawaja Imtiaz you have mentioned the address of Nine Zero in the advertisement. UK address of absconding accused be also included in the advertisement.

The court while directing FIA to file challan of the case soon extended the remand of the arrested accused till January 24.

Earlier on December 29, 2017 interior ministry had given approval to issue red warrants of three accused persons in Imran Farooq murder case. These accused were Anwar Hussain, Kashif Khan and Imran. They are affiliated with MQM London.
