Islamabad: Former Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has unconditionally refused to become part of protest movement against top judiciary which unearthed widening the gulf of division and rifts in Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).
Talking to media persons here on Friday, former minister said that nomination of Shehbaz Sharif as future Prime Minister is appreciable equivocally opposing his leader, Nawaz’s policy about Judiciary.
“The decision taken regarding Shehbaz Sharif could be fruitful if he would be allowed to work according to his thoughts and capabilities adding PMLN being a ruling political party is at crossroads,” Nisar mentioned.
Former interior minister added that there is a need to take decisions consciously not fervently as decisions need deliberations before execution.
“Political parties can’t be run with Tweets and tickers nor credibility of parties can be upgraded by implementing decisions of non political personalities,” he mocked.
He disclosed that personally he is against the policy of confrontation arguing to keep full focus on political opponents by avoiding unnecessary disputes.
Chaudhry Nisar mentioned that none of the political worker can think about joining anti judiciary drive, adding PMLN is not just a political party, it’s a democratic party as well.
“None of Pakistan’s political parties can be compared with PMLN in terms of freedom of expression as the party fully allows freedom of expression which remained a source of continuous happiness and comfort for me,” PMLN lawmaker said.
“I think today the party needs freedom of expression more than it was needed ever before,” he suggested.
Chaudhry Nisar said that there is no room available for non political personalities to implement their thoughts on PMLN because they want to set a narrative which could target national institutions but the narrative would be rejected by people of Pakistan, he added.
Former Minister urged PMLN to issue unanimous and impressive narrative deems necessary in the prevailing conditions before general elections.
