Dera Bugti: Seven people were killed and three were injured on Thursday as a bomb blast and firing incident occurred in Dera Bugti.
The incident occurred in Dera Bugtiās Toba Nohkani area where seven people were killed and two injured as an armed clash took place between rival clans.
Assailants opened fire by breaking into the house of the representative of a tribal clan and killed him along with his two wives and three daughters.
The daughters who were killed in the incident were aged between 1-5 years old.
The vehicle carrying bodies of the victims ran over a mine, which triggered an explosion. One more person was killed and two people were injured as a result of the explosion.
It is pertinent to mention here that on December 17, a suicide attack on the Bethel Memorial Methodist Church on Quetta’s Zarghoon Road killed nine and injured at least 54 people.
Similarly, on November 25, six people died while 19 sustained serious injuries in bomb blast in Quetta capital of Balochistan.
Acting SP Investigation Mohammad Ilyas was gunned down by motorcyclists in the Nawan Killi area when he was travelling in a car along with his family.
His wife, son and six-year-old grandson were also killed in the firing. However, his four-year-old grand daughter was injured in the attack and admitted to the civil hospital, Quetta.
On November 9, 2017, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Balochistan police Hamid Shakeel and two other police officials were martyred in a suicide attack on Thursday morning in Quetta.
It is pertinent to mention here that security forces have taken stern measures to improve security situation in the province during last few years.
The provincial government time and again has claim that An Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) along with Afghanistan secret agency National Directorate of Security (NDS) is involved to destabilize Pakistan special Balochistan.
