According to media reports, the World Bank has accorded approval to provide loan of 825 million dollars to Pakistan for developing power system on modern lines and bringing improvement in power transmission system. .
425 million dollars will be spent on renovation and modernizing National Transmission System including up gradation and amplification of 500 and 220 KV transmission lines.
