ISLAMABAD: National Security Adviser Lt Gen (retd) Nasser Janjua has said that India is persistently threatening Pakistan with conventional war which can trigger nuclear war in the region.

“India is threatening Pakistan with conventional war persistently which can lead to trigger nuclear war in the region. US are following Indian policy and are opposing CPEC. Both US and India have forged nexus on Kashmir issue”, he said this while speaking at a National Security Policy Seminar here Monday.

“What better control we have not maintained in Pakistan after 9/11. there are 8 agencies of FATA, Karachi is economic hub of Pakistan. Balochistan is province of Pakistan. Have we not eliminated terrorism therein. We have weeded out terrorism in FATA and Karachi today; Jeevay, Jeevay Pakistan slogans are being raised in Balochistan too. We have rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war against terrorism. But the world does not hold our sacrifices in esteem. The remaining handful miscreants are laying down their arms today in Pakistan and they are surrendering before law enforcement agencies”, he remarked.

He went on to say that US is blaming Pakistan of its defeat in Afghanistan and it is being said that Pakistan is siding with Haqqani network and Taliban while terrorism occurred in Pakistan for its joining hands with US and West.

He observed US has lost war in Afghanistan in fact. Unfortunately the world does not view reverently Pakistan war against terrorism.

He held India was continuously piling up arms and this act is posing security threat to South Asia.. It is matter of regret that US is also following Indian policy and is opposing CPEC. But truth is this that US wants to allay the growing influence of China in the region.
He underlined that Taliban are gaining strength in Afghanistan. Indian is piling up arms and US is upsetting the balance of power in the region in opposition to Russia and China.

He remarked US and India have forged nexus on Kashmir issue and both the countries have identical stance on Kashmir. But Pakistan is fully alive to the situation.

He held that Pakistan nuclear program is being criticized and it is being said that our nuclear program is under threat.
