Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) Terming US president’s decision on Jerusalem as a conspiracy against the Muslim Ummah, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that Trump has hurt the sentiments of Muslims all around the world by his controversial decision of declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
“Given the outrage in Muslim world, European countries as well as in other parts of the world the US president should revisit the decision and revoke it without any further delay”, the AJK PM said this while talking to representatives of public delegations that called him here on Friday. He said that Pakistan has adopted a strong stance on the issue besides lodging a strong protest against the decision. “The US president’s decision is a big conspiracy against Muslim Ummah and indeed a new ordeal for the Muslims”, he said adding that at this very crucial point of time the Muslim countries should move forward towards forging complete unanimity and concurrence at all levels.
Regarding Kashmir issue, the PM said that Pakistan was focused on the issue and was committed to its principled stand to support Kashmir cause politically, morally and diplomatically till the issue was resolved in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiri people.
About the prevailing political situation in the country Khan said that the emerging trends of forging alliances between political and extremist religious parties was dangerous for the country. “The political parties should devise their policies in the larger interests of the country keeping in view the fast changing regional and international scenario”, he added.
