Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Police stations of federal capital have become garbage dumps of motorbikes and vehicles taken into custody due to negligence of federal police, Online learnt on Wednesday.
Many precious tools of these vehicles have reportedly been found disappeared while Police officers were found using new vehicles for their personal use.
Recovered from different accused in the vicinity of Capital, more than 2000 vehicles and 3500 motorbikes worth of billions of rupees turned have become scrap while standing in front of police stations.
Vehicles have become rusticated due to rain and sunshine while parked in open sky and theft of tools from these vehicles has also raised questions about character of federal police.
Policemen allegedly sale parts of these vehicles in Chah Sultan, Guwalmandi and other markets which made these vehicles disable for driving.
Online when contacted police station to take stance about the issue, they refused to accept allegation of tool theft and said that every day many people visit police station to take their vehicles after clearance while many new vehicles are being brought to police stations every day.
Online learnt that when nobody comes to claim impounded vehicles for a period of almost three months, then police officials start using it for personal benefits and now Sub-Inspectors, ASIs, and Constables were also following footprints of their seniors in this regard.
Homicide unit of federal police is presenting worst example as almost all of its officials were using those vehicles taken into custody from culprits.
Spokesman of federal police denied the allegations and said that none of the police official was using these vehicles and police have no proper place for parking which damages vehicles condition.
